Join Us for the October 24 Pedal Project Bike-a-thon
Please join us on Saturday, October 24, on the Harpst Campus for the much-anticipated Pedal Project Bike-a-thon! This fun event has become a tradition on campus and provides our children with a vital opportunity to give back to MHCC through their participation. Each year, we lay out a challenging course that the children can complete on bike or on foot. After setting lap goals, they spend an hour riding or walking the course to the cheers of supportive staff and friends. Each “Mile of Hope” a child completes builds strength and confidence as he/she perseveres to achieve both individual and group goals. The event culminates in a celebratory lunch, where the children find out how much they have raised through the sponsorship of folks who appreciate their efforts and want to support them. What a pleasure it is to see their faces light up with this announcement!
We hope that you will consider supporting the children as they ride or walk “Miles of Hope” for MHCC. You can help in any or all of the following ways:
1)Pray that the event will be a meaningful tool of healing for participants
2)Attend the event and cheer on the children
3)Sponsor a rider through a monetary donation
Once again, the Murphy-Harpst Auxiliary will cover all expenses, so 100% of sponsorship funds will be used to provide the therapy our children need to heal and thrive. As you may be aware, North Georgia is in the midst of a crisis as the number of children entering state care continues to rise because of child neglect and abuse. We hope that you will join us in ministering to the hurting children who find safety, support, and healing at MHCC. Your tax-deductible donation can be made via a check to the Murphy-Harpst Auxiliary, designated for the Pedal Project Bike-a-thon, or through our secure MHCC donation link: http://weblink.donorperfect.com/pedalproject.
