Murphy-Harpst Dedicates Glenn T. York, Jr. Academy
The family of Glenn T. York, Jr. and the Board of Directors of the W.D. Trippe Trust gathered with Murphy-Harpst Board members on October 27 to Dedicate the new York Academy. Known previously as the Harpst Academy, the new Glenn T. York Jr. Academy provides major renovated and expanded facilities for our on-campus school. As the majority of children and teenagers at Murphy-Harpst now attend school on campus, the new academy has been at the top of the list of our strategic plan for the past 3 years. Funded was provided by the Trippe Trust in memory of Cedartown Attorney Glenn York, who was the founding member & executor of the W.D. Trippe Trust. The York Academy opened in fall 2013 and completed a very successful first year.
