1617 Miles of Hope Completed!
The First Annual Cycle Therapy Memorial Day Ride was a great success as over 100 participants gathered at Congregational Holiness Church in Cedartown to ride Miles of Hope for Murphy-Harpst!
Particpants from the community joined 8 Murphy-Harpst children on the Silver Comet Trail and exceeded the 1,000 mile goal, completing 1,617 "Miles of Hope" and having a lot fun in the process. Proceeds of over $1,500 from the ride will be used to provide therapeutic services for the young people at Murphy-Harpst. Special thanks go to Cycle Therapy owners, Julie and Trey Smith, who sponsored the ride and who serve Murphy-Harpst throughout the year by helping to ensure that the young people have bikes to ride on campus.
A "Miles of Hope" event is an easy way for an individual or a group to raise funds and awareness for Murphy-Harpst. If you are interest in hosting a "Miles of Hope" walk or run--or a tricycle, bicycle and motorcycle ride to benefit our young people, please contact Murphy-Harpst Board member Mary Margaret Mauer.
